Butcher Andrews had a somewhat dated website that really didn’t do their business justice. As technical issues also began to mount, it was time for a refresh.
We wanted the new site to feel fresh and contemporary, but also wanted it to really reflect the heritage and “localness” of the business. Using generic stock images on a site tends to anonymise the business; we wanted to avoid that. We felt that using local landscape images would not only lift the site visually, but also help anchor the site in its location and connect with prospective clients. Huge thanks to Chris Herring at The UK Landscape for obliging!
With visuals sorted, our focus was on usability – helping people find the services they need – and on making the site feel personal, by showcasing team members alongside their specialisms.
Having taken the team through how to manage the site themselves going forward, we’re confident that this site will be a great asset for the business for years to come.
We’re now working with Butcher Andrews to update their print adverts with a similar look and feel, so the transition from offline to online feels seamless.
“Last month, we were delighted to launch our brand new website. The site was created by Example Marketing, a fantastic local, family run firm, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. A huge thank you to Emma and Gavin, who were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we could get everything over the line and launched at short notice – nothing was ever too much trouble. As a long standing local firm ourselves, supporting local businesses is something we genuinely value, and working with Example Marketing was a perfect example of how strong local partnerships can deliver great results. If you’re considering a new website, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”
